Health Promotion Programs

We work with your employees to lower healthcare claims.

The Benefits Alliance delivers Health Promotion Programs that send a powerful message to your employees: you care about improving the quality of their lives. Benefits Alliance professionals believe that healthy, well-informed, and cost-conscious consumers are the untapped “demand side” of the health care cost equation. We help employees understand their shared responsibility for personal wellness and for controlling health care costs. In the process, owners, managers, and employees develop a stronger alliance.

We’ve priced our Health Promotion Programs to fit your budget. They’re free.

Our team designs and delivers creative, research-based campaigns to promote health education and behavior change. Our workshops, print materials, and interactive on-line activities feature colorful themes, proven presentations, and fun contests which challenge your employees to modify their habits and improve their health.

During your first year as a Benefits Alliance member, we will present two Health Promotion Programs to your team. We’ll begin with Walk Okinawa!, our popular and effective walking campaign. Your employees will imagine that they are walking around that Japanese island. They’ll quickly discover that the exercise program is very real. So are the results. Your employees will appreciate being able to track their own progress on the Internet. They'll receive our weekly motivational newsletter—plus the free pedometers and t-shirts!

“Should I contact my doctor? Should I treat the symptoms myself?”

The Benefits Alliance team will visit your worksite. We’ll provide your staff with training and tools which will simplify health care decision-making and reduce unnecessary medical expenses.

Your Web-savvy employees will appreciate having access to the vast on-line Healthwise® Knowledgebase, with 30,000 pages of easy-to-find health information. There’s one thing your employees won’t find anywhere in the Healthwise® Knowledgebase: paid advertising. The Benefits Alliance knows that when you need First Aid advice, the last thing you need is a sponsored message or a pop-up ad.

We’ll provide each of your employees with the Healthwise® Handbook, a wealth of practical information in plain English, including:

  • changing your habits to improve your health
  • administering First Aid, when the only doctor available is…you
  • choosing wisely between home treatment and calling your doctor
  • preparing for doctor visits and communicating with your doctor
  • making informed decisions about medications, tests and surgery
